I mostly play on the Switch (handheld gaming is really huge to me) and Windows PC. Sometimes I’ll download games for my phone, but I like playing on my Switch more.

First video game was probably Super Mario 64.

First console owned was the Gameboy Pocket.

Favorite genre can range from shooters to RTS. I don’t really play games on mobile devices, but I like to download point-and-click games for my phone when they are free for a short period of time.

[dispenser][dispenser]s Minutes Left of the Mission

    (Team Fortress 2)

Apparently a soldier cracked some kind of whip (I guess it was this whip? O.O)* in a payload map and for a minute, the entire game crashed. When everything returned to normal and the game commenced, ummmm…it was not so….normal…as in, the game textures were all mixed up. As in, metal objects like this checkpoint had a fire texture instead of a gray texture. A BLU soldier wore what looked like a RED scout’s texture. Even more confusing, a BLU engie wearing a RED engie’s texture (took a while to figure out why I wasn’t doing any damage to him). Most of the other players’ textures were solid light gray and

    *Based on Mr. Giantpaper’s retelling.

Also O.o when I brought up the Steam overlay, Steam itself was mistextured (which I was not able to save a picture of unfortunately ;o;). But in the chat window, Mr. Giantpaper’s avatar was replaced with my TF2 spray (the cat-eared silhouette shown here). And the window background itself was kind of a solid, light gray (as opposed to the mid-gray tone it normally is).

Exiting the game seemed to solve it. Mr. Giantpaper said something about how it affected him and probably everyone else (something to do with the Soldier’s Disciplinary Action)…

One of Steam’s summer sale achievements was to upload a video to Youtube and connect it to our Steam profile. Since I didn’t have any video game-related videos, I downloaded Fraps and shot one while playing Champions Online.

Speaking of MMOs, I’ve said in the past that I’ve grown apathetic about MMOs, but there are two I’ve been playing recently.

I like Spiral Knights because it’s a lot less grindy than most MMOs. Champions Online can feel a bit grindy, if you’re soloing, but it makes up for it by being fun to run around in (if you have the acrobatic travel power or something similar). You can also go to Canada or the Southwest Desert and fight zombies! :O

Upcoming MMOs like The Old Republic I’m following the news of, but after a few gameplay videos recently, people are calling it a WoW clone. I’ve never playing WoW, but if it’s like Runescape, I might be underwhelmed. :/
