  • Feature phones get no love

    Feature phones are AWESOME.

    • The battery on mine can last for about 2-3 weeks before it needs to be charged up. I almost never turn it off (unless if I’m in a movie theater or somewhere similar). I rarely need to worry about conserving battery life in case if I need to make an emergency call.
    • Many of them are small enough to fit into your pocket, so you won’t have to worry about breaking the screen if you were to sit down.
    • There aren’t many cool apps like Yelp or Fandango that can tell you restaurants that are open nearby or showtimes (that I know of), but SMS has a fix for that!
    • No tiny keys on touchscreen keyboards. щ(ಠ益ಠщ) (I actually kinda like touchscreens, but only when the keys are big.)
  • “Why Would I Want a Touchscreen PC?”

to-Hmmm…looking over the things about gorilla arm and the like, I have to say…

My ultimate setup would be a touchscreen monitor mounted on one of these arms, with a desktop build (so I would have an external keyboard+mouse). When I’m using my keyboard and mouse, the monitor would be on my desk shelf thing so I could use it as a regular monitor. When I need it to do touchscreen things (Photoshop, other art things), I could bring the monitor down to desk-level and tweak it at a 45° angle, to use more comfortably.

(Running Mac OS X, so it would be a hackintosh.  ( ̄ω ̄;) But I guess Windows 8’s Metro UI would actually work pretty decently in this case. :O)
