  • Dreams are jerks: Part 2

Toward the end of the semester, I would take my finals and graduate the next day. Huzzzah!

I was kinda worried about my grades. I was not the best student in any class outside of studio art*, but I was used to dealing with this already. *ahem*

But wait! I just remembered…I had math, science and two other classes from the beginning of the semester that I forgot all about within the first week. I only went to two of my classes, and not surprisingly, they were both studio art classes. (I guess the other four were such nightmares that I subconsciously chose to erase them from my mind.) I didn’t even want to look at my grades now. And what would I tell my mom and dad who expected me to be finished with college by tomorrow?

Then, you guessed it, I woke up. Dreams are such jerks. This isn’t the first time where I dreamt that I forgot I had 2-4 other classes by the end of the semester. щ(ಥДಥщ)

*When you have ADHD and a weakness in any academic subject that’s not the liberal arts fields, it’s hard to stay motivated. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. ಠ_ಠ (Although I did find science really fascinating, but the rest of the class’s learning speed was faster than mine.)

And by “studio art”, I mean painting, sculpting, drawing, photography, computer art, etc.

When you want to draw something, but don’t know what, what do you do?

    DRAW SOMETHING HORRIBLE! :O

    Q(‘-‘ O)

And as for the title, see how the little floating platforms look like something out of a platformer? Clear the level and earn the Sun God’s blessing! He is watching.

One day, 11 years ago, I got a big envelope from our church. I noticed that the paper the envelope was veerry niiiice like drawing paper…So yeah.

The idea for this came about when I wanted to see if I could do it (my right hand drawing its own self-portrait). Turns out it actually wasn’t as hard as I thought (and I normally hate drawing hands). :O I should probably try again sometime soon to see if I still have it in me.

A series of random, unrelated sketches I did. This was during the start of the semester I took beginning drawing in college. The day before, we (the beginning class) were doing still life drawings in graphite (pencil) and the more advanced students used pen. I used pen in these sketches in my free time just to try it out. I noticed I tend to be more confident with drawing than if I were to use pencil. O.o
