It took me a reeeeally long time to figure out what music I like, and I’ve decided I’m really into movie soundtrack-like music (called trailer music or epic music). Most of these aren’t made by normal music artists. They’re from music production companies (folks who make stock music for movie trailers or commercials). A lot of what’s listed here are either fast-paced and gritty or have a mystical/ethereal vibe (bonus points if all of the above), and 9/10 don’t feature any lyrics (though they might have vocalizations–people “ahhhhh”-ing for parts of the song).
If you like any of the music here, please support the artists and buy their songs (most can be found on Amazon or the Apple Music store, a few can be found on Bandcamp). Thanks!

Post federation: I’m adding the Bandcamp URLs underneath the embeds, since fediservices like Mastodon strip out iframes (which are used to do the embedding), and there doesn’t seem to be any way to extract the URL for the track from the iframe. Which means Mastodon users won’t be able to listen while still in Mastodon.
