  • Dream: Graduation Prep Stress

    And the college graduation dreams continue. :O

    Only this one was a bit more stressful than the rest. XD The entire dream was about me trying to find my cap and gown, since Commencement was supposed to start in about an hour. Apparently, the students have lockers in a warehouse in this dream, so I went over to see if I could find my stuff in my locker. Nothing there. Then L’s friend’s mom said I might be able to find it at her house (which was also combined with some kind of wild animal exhibit and a food storage/warehouse area for a grocery store).

    There was nothing unusual about the storage area (other than it was part of someone’s residence), but the wild animal exhibit…ehehehe…

    It had hyenas. And other animals, like parrots. There was also a path that led to the storage area, going right through the exhibit (which was a shortcut from the kitchen). You could also buy meat like frozen spare ribs from the butcher there (either to give to the hyenas or to take home for dinner…). Just to increase the nightmarish aspect a bit, there were also animal parts from herbivores who were unlucky enough to get too close to the hyenas. There weren’t just body parts. There were chunks of body parts (ex. a part of a parrot head). X_x I only went in there to see if I could find my stuff there. Whenever I was in there, I always bought meat and ended up having to give them to the hyenas so they wouldn’t come after ME. O_O

    Pretty much the only reason why I was so bent on finding my grad gear was so I could actually walk in the ceremony and if I couldn’t do that, I wouldn’t be able to graduate. Then I would have to wait a whole ‘nother year until I could finish school. :O (Even IRL, I would still be able to get my diploma, even if I wasn’t present at the ceremony ^^;)

  • Dream: Stress on Many Levels

    I had another dream where I showed up for Commencement sans cap and gown. But before that, our school got some new add-ons to their buildings; the most noticeable being the “arch” (a…bridge) that connected the Art Complex to another building (our school does have a bridge, but it leads from the new library to the Town Center). Today was also the day that my group and I were supposed to give a presentation in our interdisciplinary art class (which is supposed to happen in real life as well…). We met up together on the loading dock of one of the buildings, so we could all go to class together.

    Some people were setting up for Commencement nearby. They had rows of long dining tables set out, with color-alternating place mats and utensils. We decided to head over to see how things were going. And we decided to sit at the tables. Once we were all seated, we found out that our art class would be giving presentations here, which was…convenient. At the front was a model building of the Art Complex with the “arch” (bridge) attached. A lady, who was in charge of the ceremony explained that the Art Complex getting its new “arch” had been all over the news. She also explained that arches weren’t a new thing, and that buildings had arches for year. There was also another model building, which resembled the office building of my old elementary school. There was a sign above the door that read “Cal Poly“, and I thought ‘:O I was there!‘ The lady noticed my reaction, and asked if I’ve been there. I nodded eagerly (and for some reason, thought of Mocha). And I thought ‘It’s also much larger than that…it’s more like a small city…’ (which was my initial reaction as we were going through the streets. My own college has some streets intersecting it, but they’re really small and two cars heading in opposite directions on the same street have to be very careful when driving by each other).

    And that was the end.

  • Dream: Disney Channel Islands

    In the real life CSU Channel Islands, people can get around the campus by either walking, ECVs or those miniature bus-looking vehicles. In Disney Channel Islands, people can either get around by walking OR by roller coaster (should’ve been the monorail, I tell you!). 8D;

    And there was a moment where Jeidai was with me, and I needed to go to my Art & Mass Media class. So we boarded an orange roller coaster with fiery-looking decals and took off. :3

    In other school dream news, it was time for Commencement. :O Apparently, I must be carrying a lot more Commencement stress than I thought, because:

    • I forgot to bathe. I really didn’t need to actually, but since this is Commencement (a.k.a. THE actual college graduation ceremony), my mom thought it would be a good idea that I be clean. And because CSUCI doesn’t have any public bath houses like in anime (not like I would use one :3), she suggested I take one in one of the abandoned buildings. Ehe, no thanks.
    • I forgot my cap and gown. I noticed this after I got out of having to take a bath at school. When I told my mom this, it was too late. Commencement was going to start in about five minutes, and my mom told me to just go ahead anyway. I freaked out, saying “They’ll kick me out if I don’t show up in one!”
