  • Dream: Soft and Cozy Inn™

Haha, once again, I get to torture you with another dream of mine. :3 (Actually, this one’s not as exciting as the other ones. But four days in a row with dreams. Maybe there should be an Internet meme called “365 Dreams a Year” or “Dream-a-Day”. :P)

A Capstone classmate and I were lodging at a public swimming pool. In exchange for being able to stay the night, we were asked to clean the place up. We both sat at a long table by the pool, talking while working (I was using some face cleaning stuff to clean furniture, various objects and anything that’s wasn’t actual people faces).

The dream switched over to my church (where I do volunteer work). I was given the task of printing out a stack of black-and-white flyers on colored paper. But when I pressed the print button, a full-color, legal-sized poster on white paper came out. I figured that one of the ministry assistants had in the printing queue, and thought about printing the rest of out (but decided against it, when I remembered that she might want to look it over and make corrections before printing out the rest). I took a stack of colored paper and hunted for the tray to put it in…except I couldn’t find said tray. :O (Other than that, I was pretty amazed at how much luck I was having with the printer, as seeing as how it didn’t act like it was possessed. :P)

Now I was at home, in the living room. Except the living room no longer looked like our living room; it looked like a meeting room or a conference room. All around the perimeter of the room were sofas and tables. And there were a bunch of people I was unfamiliar with were also in that room (some kind of ceremony going on). Then I remember I lost a poster in this room a long time ago, so I decided to find it before someone else did.

    That resulted in me crawling around on the floor, checking under the sofas and tables (even when people were in danger of stepping on me :O). I would check in areas I have not looked in for a long time, and I would crawl right across the room to get to the other side. ^_^;

The dream shifted back to the public pool. Our work (classmate’s and mine) was done, and we headed to our “room”, which looked like a locker room under construction…and it probably was, since there were lockers lined up against the walls. In between each set of lockers was a sleeping bag hanging on the wall. Classmate, myself and other people staying at the pool slept in these sleeping bags. 😛 In the middle of the room was a long, unfurnished dining table and somewhere in the corner were old kayaks and paddles.

(As for the entry title, there was a scene in Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice #10 where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan have to go to a place called Soft Landings Inn…which was nothing like its name suggested. 😛 It was rundown and downright ugly-looking, so this dream reminded me of that.)

  • Two Ghostly Dreams

    Cast:
    Mocha: guinea pig
    Worm88: brother

I had yet another weird dream this morning. O_o It had two parts.

    Part One

I was cleaning the house of a woman, while her five year old daughter was taking a bath. Once she was done, I jumped in after so I could take one myself. When I sat in the tub, I noticed I had pink marker lines all over me, drawn in some kind of weird pattern. I then remembered a dream I had about a ghost drawing patterns all over me (while my pajamas were still on), so these lines must’ve come from that dream! :O

    Part Two

I was in my room, with Mocha on my bed, when two birds and three monkeys came in through the window and somehow got themselves trapped in Mocha’s cage. O_o I took the cage out to the back, since I didn’t want wild animals in the house and they all ran/flew out into the backyard. I watched them play among the bushes, until I noticed an old 60s type car drive into the backyard from the side of the house and get stuck in the wall. I thought that it might be a ghost car (why else would it appear out of nowhere into the backyard?).

Worm88 walked by and I showed him the ghost car…which had “conveniently” faded away. I then showed him the birds and monkeys (birds I can understand, but how often do you see monkeys in your backyard in the city?). They too had disappeared and I figured that they were ghosts as well. When Worm88’s back was turned, the license plate of the car had appeared and the monkeys reappeared again. I gave up trying to show him, since I knew they would disappear once he turned toward them. • The Legalities of Dreaming

You know when you’re dreaming, you sometimes notice you could do anything you want (i.e. fly). I had one of those this morning, which came in handy for me, since it was also one of those fugitive dreams. Except this time, some jerk over in Dreamworld decided that since I get amazing superhuman powers, the other inhabitants in my dream (i.e. people I was trying to get away from) should also get said amazing, superhuman powers. So while running from them, I decided to fly up to a telephone pole I saw nearby, thinking I would be safe there. But when I kind of “thought” my way up, I saw that one of the other folks after me could do the same.

So I decided to fly off from there, with the others on my tail. But I didn’t like the fact that they could do whatever I could do, because this is MY dream! I’M the only one who’s supposed to have amazing superhuman powers! So I managed to disable their powers by thinking ‘And Youtube decided it no longer wanted to play’ (their powers are powered by Youtube* :)). With that obstacle out of the way, I pressed on, and when I flew up, I discovered that there were several different layers to this world, and because I could fly, I could reach all of them. They all looked pretty much the same (green grass growing with some colorful tents set out).

*I think mine were powered by Google, which owns Youtube. Maybe that’s why I had such an easy time disabling their powers. 😛

  • Dream: Stress on Many Levels

I had another dream where I showed up for Commencement sans cap and gown. But before that, our school got some new add-ons to their buildings; the most noticeable being the “arch” (a…bridge) that connected the Art Complex to another building (our school does have a bridge, but it leads from the new library to the Town Center). Today was also the day that my group and I were supposed to give a presentation in our interdisciplinary art class (which is supposed to happen in real life as well…). We met up together on the loading dock of one of the buildings, so we could all go to class together.

Some people were setting up for Commencement nearby. They had rows of long dining tables set out, with color-alternating place mats and utensils. We decided to head over to see how things were going. And we decided to sit at the tables. Once we were all seated, we found out that our art class would be giving presentations here, which was…convenient. At the front was a model building of the Art Complex with the “arch” (bridge) attached. A lady, who was in charge of the ceremony explained that the Art Complex getting its new “arch” had been all over the news. She also explained that arches weren’t a new thing, and that buildings had arches for year. There was also another model building, which resembled the office building of my old elementary school. There was a sign above the door that read “Cal Poly“, and I thought ‘:O I was there!‘ The lady noticed my reaction, and asked if I’ve been there. I nodded eagerly (and for some reason, thought of Mocha). And I thought ‘It’s also much larger than that…it’s more like a small city…’ (which was my initial reaction as we were going through the streets. My own college has some streets intersecting it, but they’re really small and two cars heading in opposite directions on the same street have to be very careful when driving by each other).

    And that was the end.
