“Dragon Quest Composer Koichi Sugiyama Has Died”
I dunno how to feel about this. On the one hand, I just got into Dragon Quest and love the series so far, and Sugiyama was a big part of it. On the other hand, “asshole” doesn’t even describe him. And the DQ music was good, but not as good as say Final Fantasy’s (really enjoying the soundtrack for the FFVII remake). Kinda messed up that DQXI originally had to ship with the midi version because he didn’t want people to hear the orchestrated version. 🙄 WTF
