After seeing photos of me at ages 4-6, Mocha actually looks like an adult guinea pig. O_o (18 hours, 45 minutes ago) More tweets

Cat-eared hat Hello there, my name is Tracey (but I run around online as Noellium. You can call me either one). I’m 24, but I’m told I look young for my age (which I like, very very much! Hee hee), short and happily single (i.e. unmarried, not dating). I’m of 100% Japanese descent (fourth generation*), but I’m more interested in learning Spanish than Japanese (despite that, I do listen to songs in Japanese. I just like the sound). I’m American, but I don’t enjoy driving (and I used to take the bus to my university). I’m a college graduate (graduated May 17, ‘08), majored in art (emphasis in multimedia), but I’m also a geek and I like to play with web languages, like PHP and JavaScript (even though it’s been said that artists and technical skills don’t mixed, ha).

*The great grandparents are from Japan, but my grandparents only grew up there and my parents only visited there. As for me, I’ve never set foot outside US borders, let alone into Japan.
And the reason why I mentioned this is I got some people thinking I must be only part Japanese, since I’m an American citizen. And I heard that it’s kind of rare to come across 100% Japanese folks. I don’t know how rare exactly, but for those who are wondering, there you have it.
*Studio art that is, in other words, painting, sculpture, photography, and computer art

Online, I have a cousin (Jeidai), a sister (Lorin) and a brother (Ryan).

You can contact me at noellium@gmail.com.

In addition to my blog, I also have accounts at 50,000,000 other places. I usually run around as Noellium.

  • CodeGrrl: Website & Message Board
  • Facebook - I got one just to see if I find anything about previous classmates from middle school. Please note that I only friend people who I know offline or people I’ve just known for some time, so don’t take it personally if I reject your friend request. :)
  • MySpace - Yes, I caved in and got one of these, mainly to play around with the layout and MySpace’s peculiar mark-up. See that note about friend requests above for Facebook.
  • Flickr - I became interested in digital photography ever since I took a class about it in Fall ‘07.
  • Yoursite.nu - I don’t have the attention span to write a full-blown review, so mostly everything here I write is short and nail a few points I wanted to get across. If you have an account, please review me, no matter what your skill level is. :D
  • LibraryThing - I mainly like sci-fi novels, but I like collecting other books (::ahem:: American Girls Collection).
  • Last.fm - I really don’t have a fixed music taste. I just listen to whatever I like (which can range from The Seatbelts to Disney songs to random American pop). The songs I listen to are not only in English, but Japanese, Spanish, German, Italian, French and a few others.
  • Technorati - Hoho! I don’t really use my Technorati account for anything, other than to say, “Yup, that’s my blog. :)
  • LiveJournal - Most of the stuff here is friends only, but I’ll post public entries here in case GPORG goes down for a long time.
  • Twitter - Heehee, I caved into this also and now, I tweet. :3
  • del.icio.us - The first social networking-type account I ever got. I just save some links I found interesting.
