Final Fantasy VII
@0@; Definitely not made to run on newer computers (the FMVs/cutscenes and sound effects during said scenes lag horribly on Windows XP). Maybe it’s just the OS or it could be the graphics card or that it doesn’t get along with DirectX 10…I think it is? Once I was reassured that the game wasn’t going to crash, I got used to it. Maybe it’s just my laptop keyboard, but it doesn’t seem to acknowledge my keyboard during the character naming scenes (so when I play, I have to yoink my brother’s Xbox controller, which works really well).
Other than that, it’s a port from the PS2 version (although I’m more willing to play the PC version, since I’m more familiar with my own computer than with the TV XD). For those who’ve never played it, it continues the technological theme of FFVI (which I actually kinda like ^_^ <3 sci-fi and steampunk). It comes on four discs (three for the PS2), one is the install disc. Some say it’s overrated (i.e. “it was good, but not THAT good”). While it’s not perfect, I think it’s definitely worth playing. ^^
