Light Sorceress

I normally don’t do profiles, since they usually end up looking flat. D: This one didn’t turn out that bad though…(then again, instead of putting in the eyes, mouth and other facial features, I just left it black). No reason for why I left her as a silhouette, other than I was thinking of how some anime and manga (i.e. Kindaichi and Fruits Basket) render non-descript people as silhouettes. It kinda gives her an anonymous feel.
And the coat…umm…I’m normally not that great at designing clothes, so the coat was originally supposed to be a plain, dark red robe WHICH I didn’t like, since it looked really boring. D: My other weakness would be coming up with backgrounds, especially for non-literal moments like these. < .< >.> The insect wing reflects the butterflies coming up out of the light spell. The light spell itself started as a ball of light (just to get the light source down), and went from being a flame to this.
Other than that, the only thing that really bugs me is how at first glance, her hand looks like it’s facing palm down with the last few fingers curving up at an incredibly uncomfortable angle…(despite that, I’m actually pretty proud of the hand itself, since I based it off my own hand. It doesn’t look too skeletal or disproportionate :3). And the hair. Anything like hair or folds I actually like doing.
(And yup, I had Edward Elric in mind at this time. :3)
