Plugins
- Acronyms - Specify the acronyms and their meanings in your admin panel, and it automatically wraps whatever acronym you have mentioned with
<acronym> tags. Only problem is that it doesn’t recognize the acronym when it’s followed by a colon (and maybe other punctuation?).
- Amazon Book Picture from ASIN - Specify the ASIN number of a product on Amazon in HTML comment tags (
<!-- -->) or brackets ([ ]) in a post.
- Dofollow - Bye bye, nofollow.
- 404 Notifier - Whenever someone comes across a broken link, I’m notified about it (which can have it’s downsides, since most of the broken links are files I deleted long ago, but search engine bots still visit them).
- Akismet - Filters out potential spam from comments waiting in moderation.
- Angsuman’s Feed Copyrighter - Includes a copyright notice at the end of entries in your syndication feed, so if a spambot takes the entry and posts it on a splog (spam blog), people will know it’s being stolen.
- FeedBurner FeedSmith - Redirects traffic to your WordPress feed to your FeedBurner feed.
- Objection Redirection! - (warning: language) redirect your dead links to their new locations
Misc. Scripts
- Magpie RSS - Takes your RSS feeds and syndicates them on your blog (I use this for my Flickr, del.icio.us and Twitter accounts).
- GeSHi - I use it to highlight whatever code snippets I post.
- BellaBuzz - Q&A script
- Aneesah’s smilies - I normally wouldn’t use smilies on my blog, but eee, I love these smilies!
I like how they look like their text equivalents and look cute.
