I got a haircut yesterday, Friday. It’s now a little below my chin. I’ve had it this short before (a couple years ago I think), but let it grow out when I didn’t feel like getting a haircut. ^^; And this time, I asked the lady (who is one of the resident hairdressers at our church) to make it a little shorter than before, since I wanted to see what it would look like without (what I viewed it as) all that excessive hair.

Hmmm…well, I’m not used to seeing the ends of my hair almost in my face when I’m looking down. o.o Also the hairdresser noticed that my hair is not completely straight…as it was drying, the left side curled away from my face and the right side curls under my chin, so it looks like my hair’s pointing to the left. Oo; (It uhh…kinda “fixes” itself later on, so both ends are pointing AWAY from the face.) I thought that was normal. :O

(And if it gets longer, it gets wavier towards the bottom.)

And I noticed the hair I have tucked behind my ears are rather frizzy. ^^

I’ve been working on a new layout for The Name Files after I decided the current one is starting to wear on me (and that I decided I like having sidebars). ._____. I like shiny graphics very much, but it just doesn’t feel right when it’s on my own site. Soooo instead, I will go for something papery! :3

And speaking of which, Littler Cousin who was born a couple months ago, is I think the first relative that I know of to have an “uncommon” (in Southern Cali) Irish name. Ryan (“young royalty”) is also an Irish name, but I guess you see more Ryans than you see people with Littler Cousin’s name. :?

(FTR, both Littler Cousin and her big sister are 1/4 Irish through their dad’s side, which is probably why their parents decided Littler’s name should be Irish. YEETT that won’t stop me from naming my kids [Irish name], [another Irish name] and/or [another Irish name], even though I’m open to the possibility they might not be close to being white, let alone Irish. Nope. <.< >.> I almost gave Mocha an Irish name. :3)

  1. Ooh, can’t wait to see your new haircut. :3 I can’t stand that my hair is slightly curly, ’cause I never know what it’s going to do from day to day. >:

    I never really cared about name origins. I want to name a kid Etta Branwen, and I have no idea where the names originated. :P Also since I plan to adopt, I have no idea what ethnicity the child will be either.

    The only name I really cared about was Sakura, and how Americans pronounce it with that Yankee twang. >_>

    I think my name has Irish origins. Although it’s a fairly popular name so I don’t think the origin is relevant… ^^;;

  2. Heh, my hair is like that sometimes. Somehow I find it funny. ^^

    Really? :O The origin of a name won’t actually deter my interest in it, but I tend to be gung-ho about names from a specific origin if said origin has a history of what I think are interesting names. ^^ And it’s just some trivial info I like to look up and impress people with (although I don’t know if I’ve impressed anyone yet :3). XD

    I’ve never heard of Etta until you mentioned it, but I am absolutely sure Branwen is Irish…or somewhere from that area. :3 (IIRC, there’s a character from Irish mythology named Branwen.) And yup, your name is Irish. :3

    Hmmm…I actually have mixed feelings on Sakura…”sah KOO ruh” (from the Nelvana CCS dub), NO. No no no no. Probably because I have some bias against that dub, but if it’s just “SAH koo ruh” (from the NA Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle dub, then I’m ok with it .____.).
