I think only 10% of the county is occupied (everything else is federal land), and this city is one of the smaller cities in the county. :/ That's interesting that the columnist had raccoons in his yard though, given his location. :3 Something like that. Do you live in a rural or suburban area? I remember a few years ago a local newspaper columnist writing about the raccoons who kept getting into his yard -- which was interesting since he lived inside the loop (in one of the nicer areas in the middle of the city).
