Sad About Graduating T_T

Life | May 1, 2008 · 12:41am

So today, I wrote in my LJ about how this semester is coming to an end really fast (two of my three classes end next week, due to circumstances out of the teachers’ control and the third one ends the week after that). And Jeidai commented on the excitement (and nervousness) of graduation.

Up until now, the impact of college graduation never hit me. As I told Jeidai:

For some reason, imagining only myself graduating doesn’t ignite an excitement spark in me, even though it’s supposed to be a big moment. But imagining most of my classmates with me in this big moment (and that it’s a big moment for them as well) makes me go “Eeeeeeeee!!”

And thinking about that started to make me kind of sad, because once we graduate, we most likely won’t see each other again. I feel like I’ve been living under the illusion that we’ll always be students and we’ll always see each other (if not every day or every other day, but at least once a week or so…). I would like to still take classes after graduating (since I’m just not ready to say goodbye to this school), but it just won’t be the same, since most of the people I know will be gone.

ToT

(And I know not everyone I know not all gradmates are thinking the same way. Some/most of them are excited about it and just want to hurry up and get the hell out of there. :P )

  1. Aw. My brother is graduating soon, too. I’m not sure when his classes end, but he walks on May 10th.

  2. Cool. ^_^ Congratulations to your brother!
