So, Lorin and I are watching my Sailormoon DVDs (the first disc), and as we’re watching it, I’m reminded of three things of when I first watched the DVD:
- Usagi actually sounds like a crybaby (or she sounds like a little kid, crying, despite being 14 years of age). Fans, when describing Usagi say that she’s a crybaby. Me, never really having seen an entire episode in Japanese, where she breaks down, bawling, thought ‘Uh huh, sure.’ While you could tell that Serena (what Usagi turned into in the DiC version) was crying, it didn’t sound that crybabyish (or that real).
- In the ending credits, they list the Senshi‘s civilian names along with their sailor names, next to their respective voice actors. When they show Tuxedo Kamen‘s name, they show his civilian name right alongside it, giving away his identity. O_o (For those who are rolling their eyes, and going “You mean you never knew that?” And my answer is, “Yes, that’s right.” ._.;)
- When Usagi first transforms into Sailor Moon, she holds her hand up, palm facing the viewers. Other times when she transforms, her hand is facing away. (Yes, probably the most useless bit of info, but I thought it was interesting…)
- Usagi and Ami are in different classes? I thought they were in the same one. O_o (Maybe I only think that from reading too many Sailormoon fanfiction where they were in the same class, along with Makoto…)
