So, for Friday, my mom asked me if I wanted to volunteer for one of the staff members at church (apparently, she needed a lot of help). I agreed to it, and Mom said the both of us would go to church at 11:00. But before that, we had to stop by Fry’s for some stuff (Mom had to buy some DVD-Rs for another staffer at church, and I had to find some printable CDs for both my Art classes). Once we walked inside, we noticed that they were hiring. Woohoo! I yoinked an application and went to look for our respective items (I couldn’t fill it out on the spot, since the application said to use black ink, and neither my mom or I had a black pen).
(Secretly, I fantasized about being the person who stands at the beginning of the line and tells the customer which number cashier to go to, when the respective cashier’s light turns green. ._.)
Previously, I mentioned Ryan’s disappointment over getting a faceless cat for a cellphone charm, and how I would get him another one. After paying for our stuff, we went over to the slot machines/vending machines (I don’t know what they’re called. Bulk vending)…and we just left, because the machine required four quarters, and neither of us had four quarters. But when we got back to the van, Mom found four quarters in the coin holder thing by under the radio, so I tried again at the machine, and got…

(After I left, some of the female employees were looking at me a little strangely.)
Afterwards, Mom said I should fill out my application now, to save me a trip. Since neither of us had a black pen, we quickly bought one (actually, we bought three) at Office Depot.
I ended up not filling it out completely and turning it in just yet, because we were already half an hour late to church, so we just left.
