(I am amused that Secrets in the Hills comes out as SITH, when acronymized. )

It takes place during Josefina’s 1st mystery, but I wouldn’t say there are any big spoilers. It’s so horribly inaccurate. XD

So I was rereading Josefina’s 1st mystery of American Girls, when I came to a scene, taking place during the evening. (Even though it was a novel, everything I imagined in my mind showed up in the art style of 9th Elsewhere 8D). Josefina told Francisca some really unpleasant news she just found out: good ol’ Roger Rexford, who just showed up at their house? (she didn’t phrase it like that ) He came, because he was working for some kind of organization, who sent him to kidnap them. Josefina didn’t want to believe it. Francisca also refused to believe it, and made it known by delivering a snarky “Go away” type of comment to Josefina. ._.;

(Btw, she found this out by catching Roger talking to someone in real time, and since there was no one elsewhere around, I was under the impression that he used a cellphone. O_o I thought, that can’t be right, since they didn’t have cellphones then, right? I figured it must be some kind of earlier precessor of the cellphone–probably a steampunkish-looking cellphone, that can still be carried in the pocket. But after waking up, I though, but the first phones that showed up of any kind were during the Victorian era, and they most certainly couldn’t fit in your pocket! So I decided I would go back and take a look once I was done.)

Distressed, Josefina got in touch with Patrick O’Toole (American scout from Book #5)–using yes, another long distance, real time communication device, this one shown only in a certain fandom: a holoprojector (from Star Wars). >8D I just know it a holoprojector, because I remember seeing Josefina talk to a little blue, glowy figure on a small round metal thing that looked like a coaster. After explaining what was going on, Patrick encouraged her not to give up hope.

Eventually, she confronted Roger himself, and he explained that he was actually trying to catch some culprits who were after a treasure (which is interesting, because in the canon SITH, he had nothing to do with the treasure O_o). When they saw some suspicious people sneak by, they ended up following them out in the desert (Roger drove this teal motor vehicle that looked like a cross between a minivan and a VW Bug O_o I guess his muleteering days are over?). Uhh…that was it. I think Roger turned out to be innocent, although I couldn’t stay to find out!

I had some school-related problems to take care of. It was at the beginning of Fall ’06, when my first Art History teacher (who was at my current college in this dream 8D;) asked to see me. Before the spring semester ended, she asked for my grades from my previous classes at the current college, to make sure I could take the classes I wanted to take for the upcoming semester. When I got to the teacher’s desk (actually it was my mom’s desk in Mom’s room), she showed me my grades, and I noticed I got a “2″ in American History. See, on these report card things, they don’t go by letter grades. They go by numbers. 4 = A, 3 = B, 2 = D, 1 = F. I had no clue what to say, and was trying to figure out what to tell my mom. ;o; I started to think, please tell me this is a dream. And for once, it was a dream. The end.
